Dr. Seda Tığlı Aydın, chemical engineer-PhD, has been working on smart biomaterials and nanomaterials for the use of tissue engineering applications, drug delivery devices and various biomedical applications since her doctorate studies, collaborative study based on cartilage tissue engineering via bioreactors between Tufts University (Boston, USA) and Hacettepe University (Ankara, Turkey), completed at 2009.

Dr. Seda Tığlı Aydın received “Loreal Young Women in Science Award”, (supported by TÜBA) Apr, 2011. She studied smart nanoparticles in order to investigate the use of drug delivery systems for the targeted breast and brain cancer therapy. In 2011 she joined Bülent Ecevit University as an Assistant Professor and then tenured in 2013. Currently, she is a faculty member in Biomedical Engineering as a chair and Nanotechology Engineering Department as Professor.

She is directing several TÜBÄ°TAK and BAP projects and has published several papers contributing the literature with high ranking citations (Google scholar: 1222) and she holds h factor of 19.
